Thomas AlbertThomas Albert is truly exceptional pure Warnham Stag. As a 2 year old he cut 9.26kg of hard antler stripped, with 26 points. Poor health after the rut and wet weather combined to reduce the expected 3yr velvet cut to 5.2kg SA which put him with one of many. But as a 4yr old Thomas Albert redeemed himself by producing a head of velvet over 2kg heavier than the previous year, and continued on to cut 8.2kg at 5yrs and 8.8 at 6yrs.
Thomas Albert’s velvet has consistancy of thickness of beam above the tray tyne. He has markedly increased the velvet production every year which is also evident in his sons.
Thomas Albert has produced an amazing lineup of sons from his first drop. ’Batesy’,belonging to Alf Kinzett of Murchison, has cut 5.97kg SAII at 3 years. ’Tom’ ,owned by John Hunter of Springs Junction, cut 5.5kg SAII at 3 years and ’Enoch’,belonging to Pete Fraser, has cut 5.5kg SAII at 3 years.
Batesy cut 7.6kg SAII at only 4 years of age and won the 4yr section at the National Velvet Competition. Congradulations to Alf for also taking out the National Red Deer Super Heavy Weight title with Buller cutting 11.89kgSA. (Buller was bred by Cloudy Bay/AI)
Sadly Thomas Albert was moved to a trophy park in 2007 and scored a remarkable 513 2/8 SCI and 292.17 CIC.
A true all rounder for both velvet and trophy. |
